FAQ

How is the due date calculated?

Naegele’s rule adds 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your last period. If your cycle isn’t 28 days, the calculation is adjusted accordingly.

How long does a pregnancy last?

A pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks (280 days) from the last period, i.e. roughly 38 weeks after conception. Birth between 37 and 42 weeks is considered full term.

Is the result accurate?

It’s an estimate. The actual date can vary by several days. A first-trimester dating ultrasound remains the most accurate method — talk to your doctor.

How do I know my trimester?

The 1st trimester runs to 13 weeks, the 2nd from 14 to 27 weeks, and the 3rd from 28 weeks. The tool shows it automatically.
